China plans to launch a national strategy for circular bioeconomy in the second quarter of 2021. World BioEconomy Forum will keep close communication with relevant Chinese organizations and experts to follow the development of this process.

Jin Hailiang, business development director at World BioEconomy Forum, attended the 2020 China Biotech Innovation Conference, held in Suzhou on 2-4 November. 

The conference was hosted by China Biotechnology Center and Suzhou city government, bringing together 35 academicians and more than 300 experts from the national and local management organizations, industrial parks, colleges and universities, research institutions, enterprises, and associations.

Over 2000 people participated in this conference, aimed to promote the development of Chinese biological technology and innovation.

Biotechnology is becoming the commanding height of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and the new engine of industrial revolution, following IT. 

The Chinese government will prioritize biotechnology in national scientific and technological development and will vigorously support the development of biotechnology and the biotechnology industry.
