The World BioEconomy Forum 2021 is moving to Latin America. The main Forum will be arranged in Belém, the capital of the state of Pará, Brazil on 18–20 October 2021.
Belém is known as the Metropolis of the Brazilian Amazon region and it is a the gateway to the Amazon River. It is having a rich history and is located in the heart of particular ecosystem. World BioEconomy Forum wants to bring Bélem and the state of Pará in the hotspot of global Circular Bioeconomy.

The programme is based on four theme areas of the World BioEconomy Forum. The program will consist of presentations and high level panel discussions. The program planning is under way in the Advisory Board.
Like every other World BioEconomy Forum, also the Forum 2021 will end up for the joint declaration. The declaration consists statements grouped according 4 theme areas of the Forum.
Besides the conference there are site visits organised in the local destinations in conjunction to the forum.
The Forum will follow development of the pandemic. We have already decided that the the World Bioeconomy Forum this year will be a hybrid event. We all are looking forward to the time when the pandemic no longer effects our hugely popular onsite event, but in the meantime we are also making preparations for as an online event which will still come to you live from Belém.
