M. Abdul Ali

M. Abdul Ali (Ali) is a Chemical Engineer and Scientist building a bio-based and sustainable future through serving as the Director of Business Development at DMC Biotechnologies. Prior to joining DMC, Ali developed and performed strategic partnerships, corporate operations, and business development as a Director of Business Strategy at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, a trade organization representing the interests of the global life sciences sector in the United States. Additionally, Ali served as an Energy Sector Analyst at Intrexon where he worked on Speciality Chemicals, Food/Feed, Biofuels, and Polymers. Earlier in his scientific career, he has worked on and commercialized oils/algal products, biofuels/enzymes, and specialty chemicals/polymers at Solazyme, QTeros, and Coskata, respectively. Ali holds Masters in Bioprocess and Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelors in Biotechnology and Chemistry from MNSU-Mankato.
