Executive Director, Government & Industry Affairs at American Forest & Paper Association

Mark is the Executive Director for the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), representing the interests of the Printing and Writing Papers, Pulp, and Tissue producers. He is a member of the AF&PA Management Team and responsible for developing and coordinating policy, government affairs, and market advocacy efforts that support member interests. These include providing fact-based, business-focused solutions to help member companies achieve success on key issues, including competitiveness, market access, recycling, and paper recovery.

He has led product sustainability initiatives that drive informed decisions in the marketplace for paper products, including co-authoring Life Cycle Assessment of printing papers, chairing recovered fiber research with MIT, developing product category rules and standards for multiple paper grades, and sits on the Board of the American Center for Lifecycle Assessment.
Prior to joining AF&PA, Mark was an executive with Glatfelter Paper Company, serving in sales, marketing, and new product development roles.

Mark is married, with a daughter attending the Georgetown School of Law, and resides in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
