Timo Jaatinen has served as Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment from November 2023.
Before that, he worked in the same Ministry as State Secretary to both Minister of Employment Arto Satonen and Minister of Climate and the Environment Kai Mykkänen.
Jaatinen holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki. He has worked as Director General at the Finnish Forest Industries Federation, the Finnish Port Association and the Federation of the Brewing and Soft Drinks Industry. Jaatinen also has previous experience of the Finnish Government due to his prior position as Special Adviser of a minister.
Timo Jaatinen has held numerous positions of trust at national, European and global business organisations that have influenced climate, energy and environmental policy issues in particular.
