Mark Rushton has been reporting and writing about the pulp, paper and bioproducts industries for the last 20 years. Initially working for Whitmar Publications, a UK magazine house specializing in printing, pulp and paper industries, in 2008 he was appointed to the position of editor of Pulp & Paper International (PPI) magazine, a Fastmarkets RISI publication. In addition to this role Mark also headed up Fastmarkets RISI events around the world.
In 2016 PPI magazine was merged into Tappi’s Paper360 title, and Mark was appointed as Senior Editor, Europe & Asia, a post he still holds. Paper360 is now the leading title for pulp and paper makers around the world. He is also Editor of Tappi’s tissue magazine, Tissue360.
As well as these roles, Mark is also co-founder of the World BioEconomy Forum, a Finnish based platform with a focus on how the circular bioeconomy is instrumental in the alleviation of climate change.
Mark also acts as a consultant for some of the major suppliers to the forest products industries.
Mark lives in the south east of England with his family, including twins of 11, Tom and Emily and two dogs.
